Los Santos County Fire Department Mission Statement:
The LSCFD strives for the protection of all life and property in its service area. We have 4 full time firehouses that have 2 trucks running out of them 24/7. We respond to any calls that we are requested on, whether its a Structure Fire, MVA, Water Rescue, or a Gas odor. We have Firefighters trained in all fields so we can operate successfully.
Roles and Responsibilities for the Ranking officers of the LSCFD:
Fire Chief- The fire chief has the biggest responsibility of all, he takes care of any Fire Department issue that might come up, he has final say on who gets promoted, demoted, or even fired. He is aloud to respond to any fire call if he is not on duty to assist or take command if he feels it is necessary.
Deputy Chief- The Deputy Chief responsibility is to make sure all new Firefighters are trained properly. He can also fulfill the Fire chiefs shoes if he is not at a game.
Battalion Chief- The Battalion Chief is incharge of 2 stations, either the 2 County or 2 City stations. There main duty is to make sure there stations are running properly, if they are on or not on shift they should go to both of there station to check on there personnel to see if they are alright.
Captain- Each station will have its own Captain, they are to make sure the station they are assigned to is running properly, also they will be the officer in charge of the scene in there area unless a chief takes over.
Lieutenant- The Lieutenants roles will is to train all new firefighters, they also have the responsibility to be incharge of a fire scene if they are the first officer on scene.
